As Jonah carries out his mission to Nineveh, his personal outlook stays the same. The Book of Jonah depicts Nineveh as a city engulfed in sin. God instructs Jonah to deliver a warning to the Ninevites, guiding him to learn compassion for those who are ignorant of their wrongdoing.
