The Father's call invites us to let go of traditions and customs that keep us locked into one way of thinking. We must learn to embrace new understandings that agree with His perspective. Our personal perspectives and worldview can stand in the way of truly pursuing righteousness. In Jesus’ time, the Pharisees and religious teachers had a distinct way of blending works of the law with grace, but the two can never truly mix.
